On the evening of June 10, the second performance of the 2024 Nanjing Yangtze River Folk Music Festival, "When Silk Bamboo Meets Wind Music", kicked off at the riverside lawn of Nanjing International Youth Culture Park. Six top Chinese orchestras from the Yellow River and the Yangtze River Basin played "Our Festival" together with classic folk music. When the sound of silk and bamboo and the rhyme of wind music complement each other, when the classical folk music and modern elements collide with each other, the eyes are vast rivers, and the ears are listening to the sound of nature.

A trace of a bamboo, a tune, the story stands on the string. With the magnificent melody of the folk music ensemble "Big Tent Celebration" brought by the National Orchestra of Baotou Art Theater, the whole performance officially kicked off. Traditional Mongolian Musical Instruments such as horse-head qin, Sihu, Huosi, deer head Qin and other national instruments are skillfully integrated with the Yangqin, Sanxian, bamboo flute and other national instruments. The unique timbre and playing skills add a strong ethnic customs, and the skilled techniques and strong emotions make the audience intoxicated by the happy and happy festival atmosphere of nomadic people.
"Blow the general's order, beat the victory drum", when everyone is still immersed in the clear and melodious rhythm of the "Sihu", the representative instrument of duet, floating with the authentic "vinegar flavor" of Shanxi Provincial Song and Dance Theater Chinese Orchestra with the magnificent wind and percussion music "Big Victory" appeared.
Later, the Shaanxi Provincial Radio and Television Chinese Orchestra and Shaanxi National Orchestra also gave wonderful performances. The folk music ensemble Qin Rhyme, the Erhu Melody, and the bamboo flute duo Land Boat Running show the charm of Qin vividly.

The water of the Yellow River, winding, melodious folk music along the rolling Yellow River to Henan. On the stage, the performers of Henan National Orchestra seem to be standing in the Central Plains, telling a moving story with notes. The pipa, guzheng, Erhu, suona, Qu and other ethnic instruments are played together, and the songs "Zhongzhou Rhyme" and "Red Flag Canal Water Around Taihang" are narrated.
Classic, traditional, contemporary, each with its own beauty, beauty and beauty. Shandong Song and Dance Theater Chinese Orchestra played southwest Shandong drum music "Guak". The melody is warm and cheerful, full of strong life atmosphere and strong local colors, and interprets a picture of the prosperity of the motherland, family and beauty of the countryside. Immediately after that, the Yu singing, music singing, Jingqu rhyme, floating, "Thousand autumn Harmony" song expressed people's infinite reverence for the long history of Qilu culture.

The river wind is gentle, the beautiful scenery is intoxicating, and the folk music is like poetry. When the National Orchestra of Jiangsu Performing Arts Group played the melody of "Spring River Flower and Moon Night", the graceful notes brought people from the "strong, affectionate, beautiful and heavy" cultural atmosphere of the Yellow River, gently back to the soft beauty and quiet of the Jiangnan water town.
Through the euphemistic and simple melody, the smooth and changeable rhythm, the ingenious and delicate orchetion, and the seamless performance, the music vividly depicts the charming scenery of the spring river on the moonlight night, and praises the elegant charm of the water towns in the south of the Yangtze River. The whole song is like a painting of fine brushwork, soft color, beautiful and elegant landscape long, fascinating, endless aftertaste.
The two musical styles complement each other, providing more possibilities for musical performance, promoting mutual recognition and understanding between different regional cultures, and further promoting the inheritance and development of Chinese folk music. It is also a "river dialogue" across regions and cultures.
At the end of the performance, the six top orchestras from Jiangsu, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, Shandong and Baotou joined hands for the first time to play "Happy Moon" together with folk music, leading the audience to enjoy the great rivers and mountains of the motherland in the sound of silk and bamboo orchestra, and listening to the emotional code of the Chinese nation in the natural environment. In the process of inheritance and innovation, the broad, profound and colorful Chinese culture is displayed.

On the evening of June 11th, the third performance of the 2024 Nanjing Yangtze River Folk Music Festival, "Yangtze Style", will be played at the riverside lawn of Nanjing International Youth Cultural Park. Musicians from Qinghai, Sichuan, Hubei, Anhui and Jiangsu will play "The Yangtze" on the banks of the Yangtze River. With music as the OARS, they will explore the rich and splendid folk music resources and cultural heritage of the Yangtze River basin, and praise life and the diligence and wisdom of the Chinese nation with folk songs.
