The conference also elected the new vice president and council member of the association.
Since its establishment more than five years ago, Wuhan Guqin Research Association, as the only guqin association in Wuhan, with the support of Party committees, governments and cultural departments of Wuhan and Hanyang District, has been carrying forward and inheriting the art of guqin while continuously exploring the accumulation of local guqin learning in Wuhan and promoting the transformation and development of excellent traditional culture. It has released a series of works of "Five pieces of Friendship Culture", such as music composition works of "Yanlulou Qin Music", novel of "Bosom Friend New Qin Yuan", picture book of the same name, film of "Bosom Friend" and Guqin Music of "Si Yin", etc. It has also held several Guqin series performance activities of Wuhan Qintai Music Festival, making a large number of citizens become "fans" of Guqin art and disseminators of Jiangcheng Wuhan "bosom friend" culture.

Guqin (pinyin: Gǔ Qín) is a traditional Chinese musical instrument with a history of at least 3,500 years. Guqin is also known as Yaoqin, Yuqin and Seven-stringed Qin.
