Thrush Jumping Frame is a traditional piece of music, belonging to Chaozhou music. Its playing methods are mostly wind and percussion music and string poetry.

"Threshold Jumping Frame" is a guzheng work that has survived in many northern and southern songs and has been "Chaozhouized". The whole piece is divided into two sections, with a total length of 48 bars, of which the second section is a repetition of the changes of the first section. Judging from the characteristics of the melody, this piece belongs to the single piece work composed of answering syntax. The whole piece is completed in harmony and dialogue, like a dialogue between a thrush on the shelf and a bird outside the window, full of anguish and yearning for freedom. From the spectrum, this piece does not have any hints on the speed, dynamics and expression changes, but from the syntax and melody development of the piece, we can still glimpse the emotional trend it contains.

The first 4 bars of the first paragraph are the first sentence, which is like a greeting, and the 5th to 8th bars are exactly the same couplet, like the answer of two birds, and the imitation and repetition of the melody begin. One strong and one weak, one bright and one dark, one singing and one harmony, one-on-one answering, the beauty of "yin and yang" and "harmony" of Chinese music can be fully displayed here. From the perspective of the composition of the melody scale, "Threshold Jumping Frame" should belong to the Chaozhou "heavy six-tone" zheng piece. The faint bitterness of the first piece of music in the composition of the melody scale and the left-hand slide also proves this.

The second paragraph is a variation of the first paragraph. In fact, there is not much change in the melody between the second paragraph and the first paragraph, except that the long notes are filled at the end of each sentence. This is the usual method in folk music variation. , but the rhythm is gradually accelerated or even pushed to a climax in repeated repetitions, and we can feel the optimism and tenacity of life and the desire for freedom.
