Introduction to Huang Weizhi(erhu)Master performer

Huang Weizhi is a famous erhu performer, the head of the Chengdu Folk Orchestra, a director of the Chinese National Orchestra Society, a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, a member of the Sichuan Musicians Association, and a member of the China Democratic Alliance Promotion Association.

At the age of 7, he studied erhu under the tutelage of Professor Xiao Qianyong of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. At the age of 14, he was admitted to the Sichuan Conservatory of Music with excellent grades. He grew up under the careful training of the famous erhu educator, Mr. Shu Zhao. In 1982, 18-year-old Huang Weizhi was assigned to the Chengdu Chinese Orchestra as an erhu solo performer.

More than twenty years have passed. Over the years, Huang Weizhi's qin sound has been floating everywhere, and his solo is a popular repertoire at the Furong National Essence Concert at Chengdu Jinjiang Theater. He also went deep into the countryside, went to the community, went to the enterprise with the artists, and participated in the performance of comforting the people. With his superb playing skills and meticulous performance spirit, he has devoted spiritual food to thousands of audiences and brought happiness to friends from home and abroad.
