Introduction to Jiang Xunfeng(erhu)Master performer

Jiang Xunfeng is a famous erhu performer and a national first-class actor. Member of China Musicians Association, Vice President of Erhu Society of China Music Association. Jiang Xunfeng has been studying erhu for 40 years with his father, a famous erhu performer, educator, and founder of the Jiang School of Erhu, and has won his true heritage.

He joined the army and went to the front line in North Korea to perform for the soldiers. He has visited and performed in countries such as the former Soviet Union, Hungary, Romania, and Myanmar. The main repertoires include "Capriccio with Wanwanqiang", "Erquan Reflecting the Moon", "Candle Shadow Shaking Red", "Autumn Moon in Han Palace" and so on.

Mr. Jiang Xunfeng officially learned Erhu when he was 12 years old, and he also played with it for two years before. The first piano is a children's erhu made by Hong Guangyuan, a famous luthier in Beijing. The erhu in the past was a short-necked square head. Later, his father Jiang Fengzhi designed the neck of the erhu into a curved neck shape, which is more beautiful than the original straight-necked erhu. Then his father asked an old qin master near the Chenghuang Temple in Shanghai to make an erhu with such a shape. Mr. Hong Guangyuan made it according to the pattern. Slowly, this kind of erhu with a curved neck spread and is still in use today, also known as Jiang's Erhu.
