Jiao Jinhai was born in Anyang, Henan Province in 1939. He studied under Cao Dongfu and graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music in 1963. my country's famous guzheng performer, zheng music composer, zheng music theory research scholar, founder of "Jiao Pai Zheng".

Jiao Jinhai studied assiduously and achieved outstanding achievements in guzheng performance, zheng composition creation and zheng theory description, and enjoyed a high reputation at home and abroad. Due to his unique playing style, rich composition of music, and the development of complete performance methods and theoretical practice, he has been valued and studied by overseas zheng circles again and again. , and is praised as a guzheng master who "learns from the ancients but not the ancients, and can modernize traditional guzheng music and make it closely linked with the pulse of the times".

He has composed more than 30 zheng solo pieces including "Shandan Dandan Blossoms Red and Bright", "Dong Dance", "Early Spring in the Lotus Flower" and "Deep Love on the Silk Road" (this piece won the Ministry of Culture Award).

Achievements and Honors In 1987, he published the book "Zheng Playing Method", the first monograph on playing theory with modern techniques in my country as a composer in Beijing. He has successively published a number of academic papers on zheng music, such as "Research on Zheng Music, Pain and Pleasure", "On Zheng Music Tuning, Tuning and Scales", "The Instrument of Benevolence and Wisdom, Zheng Zheng Ran Ye", etc. name).

As early as 1965, the China Records Club recorded his "Dadu River" and other zheng music records. In 1979, he recorded the first cassette tape "Spring Full of Lijiang" in China. He has recorded and published six solo albums including "Selected Songs of Jiao Jinhai Zheng" and "A Collection of Famous Zheng Songs - Master Jiao Jinhai's Performance".
