Introduction to Liu Beimao(erhu)Master performer,composer,music educator Liu Beimao (1903-1981), alias Shouci, a native of Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province, is a famous modern erhu performer, composer and educator. The son of Liu Baoshan, a scholar at the end of the Qing Dynasty, is brothers with the poet Liu Bannong and the musician Liu Tianhua. Liu Beimao is the faithful successor and developer of Liu Tianhua's career. After Liu Tianhua's death, he inherited his brother's legacy of "improving Chinese music" and composed more than 100 erhu performances such as "Han River Tide", "Little Flower Drum" and "Liufang Song".
