Yuan Sha, a Chinese guzheng performing artist, has funded and trained dozens of disabled and impoverished students over the years, enabling them to embark on the road of guzheng art and become self-reliant. Yuan Sha led the students of the Central Conservatory of Music to perform nearly 30 "Yuan Sha Guzheng Teacher-Student Concerts" tours across the country, training nearly 2,000 guzheng education talents, and held special guzheng concerts and lectures at home and abroad for nearly 20 years. In 200 sessions, dozens of textbooks and CD-ROMs have been published, which has made great contributions to the promotion and popularization of Guzheng art.
Yuan Sha began to study zheng with teacher Liu Yu at the age of six, and was admitted to the primary school attached to the Central Conservatory of Music at the age of nine, under the tutelage of Professor Li Meng. Since then, she has been concentrating on the guzheng major during the sixteen years from the high school attached to the Central Conservatory of Music, university and postgraduate students. After graduating with a master's degree, he stayed in the school to teach until now.
He has performed concertos with the China National Symphony Orchestra, China Philharmonic Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Royal Swedish Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Folk Opera Symphony Orchestra, New Netherlands Orchestra, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and other orchestras. The famous composer Ye Xiaogang created the Guzheng work "Linquan" for him and premiered it in Hong Kong; the famous composer Tan Dun composed the "Guzheng Concerto" for his sister, which was premiered at the Stockholm Concert Hall in Sweden; the famous composer Guan Xia created the zither and symphony work "Mulan" for him; the famous composer Tang Jianping created the new zheng and symphony work "Luoshen" for him.
