Xun is a kind of wind instrument fired with clay in ancient times. It is one of the oldest wind instruments in China, with a history of about 7,000 years. The xun is round or oval in shape and has six holes (eight holes, nine holes, ten holes, double octave, etc., six holes are not common in the market). Also known as "Tao Xun". Pottery is the most common, and there are also stone and bone ones. The upper end of the xun has a mouthpiece, the bottom is flat, and the side walls have sound holes.
The structure of the ten-hole xun is a hollow sphere-like main body. There is one blow hole and nine pronunciation holes. The upper end of the main body is provided with a blowing hole, the front is provided with seven sounding holes, and the reverse is provided with two sounding holes.
