Duan Kunyun, male, Bai nationality, member of the Communist Party of China, born in May 1957, is a member of Wenhua Club, Wenxin Village, Misha Township, Jianchuan County, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province.

Duan Kunyun has been fond of playing sanxian and singing white music since he was a child. He was drafted into the army in 1978, and he often participated in literary and artistic activities in the army. He played and sang for cadres, soldiers and friends, and was deeply loved by cadres and soldiers.

After returning home from retirement in 1982, he was invited to sing songs and play erhu whenever there were "red and white things" in the village.

In 1985, borrowed to Jianchuan County National Cultural Team, mainly responsible for white music singing and band accompaniment. During this period, he received careful guidance from teachers such as Bai artist Shi Zhenhua, famous Baiqu artist Su Gui, Huang Sidai and Yang Zezhou.
