Introduction to Li Fangyuan(pipa)Master performer,composer

Li Fangyuan, a pipa artist in the late Qing Dynasty. Representatives of the Pinghu School of Pipa artists, whose representative works include "The Thirteen New Pipa Scores of the North and South Schools".

In the 21st year of Emperor Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1895), Li Fangyuan compiled and published Thirteen New Pipa Scores of the Northern and Southern Schools, which included 6 pieces of music: "Pingsha Falling Wild Goose", "Xunyang Moonlight Night", "Chen Sui Gu Yin", "Sai Shang Song" "Qinglian Yuefu", "Neon Clothes Song"; 5 martial arts songs: "Manchurian Order", "Yulun Pao", "Huaiyin Pingchu", "Hai Qing Na Goose", "Han General's Order"; 2 large songs: "Yangchun Ancient" Song "Pu'an Mantra". When the Pinghu School plays Wenqu, it is required to be graceful and light, with soft wrists and gentle plucks, like pearls falling on a jade plate, to play a slow and slow melody, and there is a sense of lingering lingering sounds. Wuqu performance pursues an unstoppable spirit of vigor and arrogance, and pays attention to the handling of cadence and rhythm, and the combination of rigidity and softness.

The Pinghu School Pipa is famous far and wide, and it is one of the four most influential Pipa schools in modern Chinese history. In 1895, Li Fangyuan, a native of Pinghu, Zhejiang, who had passed down his pipa skills for four generations, compiled and compiled the "Thirteen Sets of New Pipa Music of Daqu", which is considered to be an important symbol of the formation of the Pinghu School of Pipa and opened up an important artistic genre in the Pipa Garden— Pinghu Pie. After decades of refinement, the Pinghu Pipa has finally become a dazzling wonder in the field of Chinese folk music.
