Introduction to Ma Guanglu(drop beard)Master performer

Ma Guanglu, a musician of falling hus, was born in Gongyi, Henan. At the age of 18, he joined the Cultural and Art Troupe of the Political Department of the Second Field Army. In 1953, he was transferred to the Song and Dance Troupe of the General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army as a soloist. He is a member of the Chinese Musicians Association and a member of the Chinese National Orchestra Society.

Falling Hu Solo won the prize at the 5th World Youth Festival in 1955. And created a number of characteristic pendant Hu solos. On December 28, 2002, Gao Zhanquan, a director, composer, and performer of beard-dropping, was welcomed as his apprentice at the Second Guest House of the State Council, and a grand apprenticeship ceremony was held, so that the beard-dropping technique was passed on.
