Ma Lin, female, director of the Folk Music Teaching and Research Section of the School of Arts of Sun Yat-Sen University, associate professor, master tutor, one of the top ten young pipa performers in China, master of the Central Conservatory of Music, and master of arts and culture management from the Pratt School of Art, a century-old art school in New York.
He began to learn Pipa at the age of 4, under the tutelage of Professor Li Guanghua, a famous pipa performer and educator. In 2002, he was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music as an undergraduate, and in 2006, he was admitted to the public-funded postgraduate of the Folk Music Department of the Central Conservatory of Music with excellent grades. During the school, he won the highest scholarship of the Central Conservatory of Music "Tan Xiaowei" scholarship and the title of "Advanced Individual in Olympic Performance". In 2012, he was awarded the title of Top Ten Young Pipa Performers.
