Boyi four males, born in 1961, in Jiajiu Village, Pihe Township, Fugong County, Nujiang Prefecture. He has been influenced by folk music since he was a child. At the age of fourteen, he officially worshipped his uncle Da Agen as his teacher and began to learn the Nu musical instrument Dabia. Now he has mastered the 64 tunes of Dabia. Boyce Si also produces Dabia and has been invited to perform in various places across the country.
