Exam content and requirements

Etude: At all levels, choose two pieces within the prescribed range.

Music: Levels 1-4 can choose two pieces within the specified range; Levels 5-8 can choose one with * and one without * within the specified range. Grades 9-10 can choose two songs marked with * and one song without * within the specified range.

Involving musical instruments

Pipa (pinyin: pí pa), the first plucked instrument, is a traditional plucked instrument in East Asia, a plucked stringed musical instrument. Made of wood or bamboo, the speaker is half-pear-shaped and has four strings on the top. It was originally made of silk thread, but now it is mostly made of steel wire, steel rope and nylon.
