The shakuhachi is a traditional bamboo wind instrument in ancient China, named after the length of the pipe. Cao Hao, 35, is a guqin teacher in Xinhua District, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. He has a soft spot for ancient instruments. When it comes to the craftsmanship of shakuhachi musical instruments, Cao Hao is very familiar. In 2021, Cao Hao established a Shakuhachi workshop, which currently has more than 30 students. He said: "In the future, I will try my best to inherit this ancient craftsmanship, let more people know the story behind it, and let more outstanding treasures of the Chinese nation return to the lives of our young people."

Shakuhachi (pinyin: Chǐ bā), an ancient Chinese traditional musical instrument, was introduced to Japan during the Tang and Song Dynasties.
