Xu Yang, Ruan performer, educator, professor and master tutor of the Central Conservatory of Music.
Xuyang is a contemporary academic leader of Ruan, an advocate and practitioner of Ruan cultural revival.
In 1976, he was admitted to the Henan Provincial Opera School, graduated in 1981 and stayed at the school to work; in 1983, he was transferred to work in the Henan Provincial Song and Dance Troupe.
In 1985, he was admitted to the Xi'an Conservatory of Music. He graduated in 1989 and stayed at the school to teach. In 1998, he was transferred to the Central Conservatory of Music and became the first full-time teacher of Ruan in the academy.
In 2002, he studied in the postgraduate course of the Central Conservatory of Music.
