Zheng Yang, a young sheng player of the Beijing Chinese Orchestra, holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the Central Conservatory of Music. He has successively studied under Professor Zhang Xiaodong, Yuan Yongchang and Yang Shoucheng. He is an excellent talent introduced by the Beijing Chinese Orchestra in 2018.
He has premiered and recorded more than 100 new sheng works. As a sheng soloist, he has participated in well-known music festivals at home and abroad such as the "Warsaw Autumn" International Modern Music Festival and Beijing Modern Music Festival. He has joined hands with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and the China National Symphony Orchestra. Orchestra, the Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra, and other domestic and foreign orchestras, perform the Sheng Concerto in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall and the National Centre for the Performing Arts.
