The Song of Fisherman

Ancient music

Qin: Zhang Jiayu

Qin used: Yunhu

The "Fisherman's Song" was written by the famous pianist Mao Minzhong of the Southern Song Dynasty. It was once named "Landscape Green" and "Yinai Song" and was included in more than 40 qin scores such as "Supplement to Xingzhuang Taiyin" and "Xilu Tang Qin Tong". It is said that this song is based on the poem "Fisherman" written by Liu Zongyuan when he was exiled to Yongzhou: "The fisherman stays with the west rock at night, and draws the clear Hunan at dawn to burn Chu bamboo. The smoke disappears and the sun rises, but no one can see. It is just a green landscape. Looking back at the middle stream of the sky, there is no intention of chasing clouds on the rock."

A leaf boat, traveling between the lake and the sea, supporting ping stems, pairing gulls and egrets, fishing with their clothes on, indulging in the mountains and rivers, singing over wine, this joy is immense. The sound of the piano, which rises low and turns high, depicts a fascinating Shan shui; The simple and elegant melody is repeated in different ways, sometimes full of interest, sometimes profound in artistic conception, sometimes elegant and immortal, and the beauty of nature is all in it. The joy of singing high is indescribable.
