Miao four strings The Miao Sixian (pinyin: miáo zú sì xián) is a plucked stringed musical instrument of the Miao people. Popular in Napo County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The structure and shape are similar to the Yueqin and the four strings of the Yi nationality, and can be used for solo, ensemble or singing and dancing accompaniment in various playing methods. Young men and women of the Miao ethnic group often play and entertain themselves in slack farming or work, and often play in ensemble with Miao ethnic sanxian and other musical instruments. Suitable for playing elegant, lyrical melodies. There are more than 20 pieces of music, all of which are untitled, mostly folk songs or minor tunes.

The structure and shape are similar to Yueqin and Yi Sixian. The resonance box is in the shape of an oblate shape. The abdominal cavity is excavated from a whole piece of oblate pine or pine wood to make it the frame and the bottom plate. The top is covered with a paulownia veneer.
